Less than an hour away from Lisbon, West Cliffs golf course was designed by Cynthia Dye ASGCA, member of the world famous golf course design atelier Dye Designs Group.
The varied landscape and natural terrain was maintained and undisturbed as possible to create an unique and world class 18-hole seaside links golf course alongside the silver coast. Rolling sand dunes interspersed with coastal vegetation, while the pine groves overlook the ocean from above.
West Cliffs the 1st Dye golf course in Portugal and the 4th in Europe and it will surely be one of the most famous golf projects in the world.
Cynthia Dye, niece of the renowned architect Pete Dye said:
“Offering views over the Atlantic in all holes, West Cliffs is one of the most natural golf courses I can ever think of. Its location is superb. We only hat to model a little to place the greens, according to the limits of the grass-covered area.
The course is a mixture of seaside links and parkland holes with a par of 72, offering the golfer a unique experience. Players are required to have a valid golf handicap certificate. Minimum handicap requirements are men 36, ladies 36.
