This 18 hole course was designed by the renowned Scottish golf course architect, John Cholver Stainer, whose philosophy was to create a  challenging but fair course that would appeal to golfers of all levels.
The beautifully shaped course uses the natural hill and valleys to contrast with the surrounding rugged volcanic mountains and views of the sea that can be enjoyed from almost every hole.
The most memorable feature of this course has to be the shaping of the greens that require precision with approach shots, the numerous plateaus and undulations along with the fast bent grass greens can cost even the best of players to suffer those dreaded three putts.
With four ponds and many waterways that come into play on all but five of the holes be prepared to stock up on balls before you start!!. The signature hole is Par 3 15th which at 169m with water short and right of the green and a prevailing wind coming from the left this requires a committed and well executed shot.
While the course is relatively short with a Par 67 of 4824m but with an exciting mixture of Pars to make it an enjoyable game requiring every club in the bag.
