Course: PGA Aroeira No. 2 Location: Caparica Course Designer: Donald Steel Established: 2000 Par: 72 – four par 3´s, ten par 4´s, four par 5´s Signature Hole:PGA Aroeira No. 2 opened in 2000 and set in Herdade da Aroeira, south of Lisbon, located 25km from the centre and just 600 metres from the beach. Despite the inviting nature of its greens, the course becomes increasingly difficult as you move through holes 1 to 9 and 10 to 18. Unlike its sister course PGA Aroeira No. 1 the course has bunkers on the fairways, some of them in the Scottish style of pot bunkers, but the sand traps are not the only obstacles that you have to take into account. There are five large lakes, water is a fairly constant hazard on no fewer than nine holes.
