Large areas of water demand accurate play and creative shot making, and these lakes and streams are to be maintained as a wildlife sanctuary. Christy designed the course with intensions of creating the atmosphere and beauty of the traditional orange vineyards of Portugal into his course. He successfully managed this task due to the 5th hole which is surrounded by orange vineyards to both sides creating a magnificent start to this fabulous course.
