Course: La Cala
Course Designer: Cabell Robinson
Considered to be one of the finest golf complexes in Andalucia and indeed the Costa del Sol, La Cala Golf comprises no less than three 18 hole championship courses designed by the renowned American architect Cabell Robinson and hosts various local and international tournaments and events. An ideal choice for golf holidays & breaks on the Costa del Sol with inspiring mountain and Mediterranean scenery to enhance your game, La Cala Golf offers golfers a wide range of facilities, including an excellent clubhouse with bar and restaurant.
La Cala America
Par: 72 – five par 3´s, eight par 4´s, five par 5´s
One of the original courses designed and built in 1989 at La Cala Golf, and the longest and possibly the toughest of the three, Campo America (previously known as the North Course) enjoys spectacular views of the Costa del Sol, Mediterranean Sea and the Sierra de Ojén mountains. Although the relatively few bunkers and wide fairways make this a slightly easier driving course, it is quite hilly and the various water hazards present a challenge to beginners and experienced golfers alike.
La Cala Asia
Par: 72 – four par 3´s, ten par 4´s, four par 5´s
The other original course at La Cala Golf, Campo Asia (formerly the South Course) is a narrow and short course with five par holes requiring skill and strategy. Respected by professionals, Campo Asia is also a perennial popular course with golfers enjoying breaks and holidays on the Costa del Sol, where correct club selection and accuracy are vital and a testing round of golf is always guaranteed.
La Cala Europa
Par: 71 – five par 3´s, nine par 4´s, four par 5´s
The newest of the three courses at La Cala Golf, built in 2005 Campo Europa is perhaps more forgiving than Campo America and Campo Asia. The generous fairways and slightly larger greens make this course easier for the average golfer, and although the scenery is no less spectacular, with lavender, eucalyptus and olive trees lining the course, it is easier to get around than the older courses at La Cala Golf. With the Ojén river featuring on 8 of the holes, requiring players to cross several bridges during their round, Campo Europa is a thoroughly enjoyable course and a great place to spend your golf holidays & breaks on the Costa del Sol.
