Sean O'Hair shared the lead with Jim Furyk at 12 under par after two rounds of the Deutsche Bank Championship.

American O'Hair picked up eight shots in eight holes as he carded a seven-under 64 to join overnight leader Furyk, who shot a 67 at the TPC Boston.

Australia's Marc Leishman sank seven birdies and an eagle for a bogey-free 62 to lift him to third on 10 under.

Tiger Woods fired a 67 to move within seven of the leaders, while Padraig Harrington (67) ended eight under.

Australian John Senden hit the shot of the day, holing his 249-yard second at the par-five 2nd for an albatross.

Senden, who started at the 10th, completed a seven-under-par 64 to join Scott Verplank, Justin Leonard, Dustin Johnson, Kevin Sutherland and Mike Weir on nine under.

But it was Leishman's round that provided the talking point. He also started at the 10th and blazed around the front nine in 29 shots before picking up three more strokes on the way home to join South Africa's Retief Goosen on 10 under.

"It was low scoring conditions and I made the most of it, which was nice to do for a change," said Leishman.

"It was getting out there really early on the smooth greens and no wind.

"I was reading the greens well and I holed a few good putts."

Joint overnight leader Steve Stricker failed to build on his opening-round 63, carding a one-over 72 to fall back to seven under.

England's Brian Davis was the best-placed of the British contingent after his one-under-par 70 left him on five under.

Countryman Greg Owen was one behind after a 69, while another Englishman Justin Rose (70) was on three under in a group that included world number three Phil Mickelson (68).

The event is the second of the four end-of-season play-offs in the Fed Ex Cup on the PGA Tour.

The 125-strong field at last week's Barclays tournament was whittled down to 100 for this week.

A total of 70 players will make it through to the BMW Championship with the final 30 from the Fed Ex Cup points list competing at the season-ending Tour Championship.
