| The Montecastillo Golf Resort, situated in Arcos nearby Jerez de la Fontera next to the Formula 1 Grand Prix track, opened in 1992. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Montecastillo Golf is a beautiful, reasonably undulated, course with artistically placed lakes and spectacular elevated tee boxes surrounded by the rolling hill. The finishing 3 holes of this golf course guarantee thrilling moments. Especially the 18th par 4 is brilliant. Montecastillo Golf hosted the 1994 and 1996 Turespana Masters Open and has been the venue for the always exciting European PGA tour and The Volvo Masters from 1997 until 2001. The Club House, golf shop and caddie master of Montecastillo Golf are accommodated in an impressive Castle. The renown five star luxurious Hotel offers all facilities you may expect from a fine setting like this. This golf course is voted a one of the 50 best golf courses in Spain and Europe. The spacious entrance hall of the Hotel offers an air of granduer with stunning views across the golf course.
